How to repair the 16 Ton Forklift driving axle
The forklift's axle housing is firmly fixed on the forklift’s frame. As the driving axle and the frame are rigidly connected, the driving axle undertakes the most weight when forklift handling cargos, and when forklift working on uneven road or the unequilibrium of fork’s load ,driving axle will come to damages of bending, fracture, axle casing bearing hole wear and axle casing journal wear and so on.
The test and repair of Forklift driving axle housing’s bending
Test of the axle housing’s bending. Before testing, the first thing is to correct positive half axis and the flatness of the flat contact flange of the hub end, for eliminate the error of its round face runout. Then fixing the standard half-shaft on the driving axle housing, tightening bearing, testing the center of the left half axles and right half axles from housing’s inside to see whether bending or not. The difference between the two axes should less than 0.75mm.
driving axle housing should be corrected when it over limit. During testing, the deformation should not be greater than the original bending deformation, and should keep the correction pressure for a period of time, in order to make axle housing a certain plastic deformation. If the deformation is too big, bending deformation more than 2mm, the correction can be done after preheat, but the heating temperature is not allowed to exceed 700 ℃. It is better to avoid heating corrections for casted axle housing.
